The content of this page is currently in it's early stages. We will be adding more to the page as we further develop our oracy curriculum.
The intent of our oracy curriculum is to provide every child with the skills, confidence and opportunities to talk to a range of audiences across a range of contexts.
We believe that oracy is one way we can close the gap for disadvantaged children who are likely to have limited vocabulary. We believe that the benefits of being a fluent and agile communicator extend beyond just success at school. Becoming an articulate, effective communicator forms the basis of democratic engagement within wider society and also has a positive effect on later economic wellbeing, and on happiness and mental health.
